  • Michael F | Portrait Session – Round II In San Francisco

Last week was sort of a hard one for me.  I know a lot of it had to do with things that happened at work but I can’t seem to remember all of what led to me just feeling blah by the end of the week.  Well one of the good things was I had a portrait shoot Friday.  So I was looking forward to getting out there and doing something I love and hopefully creating some good imagery.  Of course as is my norm the weather was all rainy and overcast when we started but luckily the sun started to peek through later on.

This was my second shoot with Michael.  Last time it was more laid back with him in a T-shirt but as he has been starting to do acting he wanted some more images for his portfolio.  After his last shoot he got some attention and landed a few gigs.  I would like to believe that my images helped him out some in that department.  Well this time we were in San Francisco, I love shooting there because there are just so many places to shoot and the city just has so much character and texture.

Well here are a few shots from the day.  Hope that everyone had a great Valentine’s and Presidents Day.  Oh yeah…Gung Hay Fat Choy…it is Chinese New Years too!!

  • Rain Rain Go Away | Connie & Wayne SF Engagement Preview

For some reason, lately every time I am out shooting something the weather has been gloomy and overcast. Well I was scheduled to shoot Connie & Wayne’s E-Session but the weather report indicated that it was going to be raining…surprise surprise surprise. Well in the end we were pleasantly surprised by some very nice weather.

It was a fun afternoon hanging out with Connie & Wayne and running around San Francisco. The City is such a great place to shoot because there are just so many great places to shoot. There are iconic landmarks but there are also so many other places steeped in history and with wonderful texture. Seems like you can go out and find an new place each time you go out. So with that in mind we had no intention of shooting anything at the Palace of Fine Arts since that is one of those places that everyone takes pictures, especially things that are wedding related. But as we were winding down the day we happened to drive past the PoFA and combination of it being lit up and the sky just was too good to pass up. So yes we did shoot a couple of images there.

I will post more from their session later but I am trying to post more so figured I would toss up a couple first. Congratulations to Connie & Wayne. I am looking forward to sharing in their special day in a few months.
