  • A Fringe Benefit

Yesterday I had the opportunity to take a quick jaunt down to LA and shoot a family session with my friends Mark & Stacie.  I actually met Mark many years ago when he was up in the Bay Area and we attended the same church.  I met Stacie separately at a JEMS retreat one summer when all of us were single and carefree.  So it was pretty cool when Stacie and Mark hooked up.  I still remember their wedding as it was one of the most memorable and hilarious weddings I have ever attended.  Well we are all in a much different place now being married and with or respective little ones, sadly we don’t see each other much now days.  So when they contacted me to take portraits of them and Mark’s family I jumped at the chance since it meant that I would get to see them and spend some time hanging out with them.  Well I can say for me it was a great day catching up and getting to know Mark’s family as well.  I hope our families will get a chance to spend more time together in the future.  Here is a shot I took of Stacie & Mark.  Here’s your fifteen minutes of fame I promised you Stace.  =)

  • Complete Package | Anna’s Headshots

A little while back I had to opportunity to shoot some headshots for the CEO of our county hospital.  Talk about a complete package Anna not only is capable and holds a high profile position but is also I think quite an attractive lady as well.  I was not sure what to expect since she does hold such a high position, but Anna was just great!  We were able to have some light hearted fun as we got some good shots of her, although, I have to say it is not hard to get good shots of her.

Well over all it was a great experience and I hope I get to work with Anna again someday.  Here are some images we captured during our session.

At the end of last year I had the great privilege of sharing in Amabelle & Andrew’s special day.I have to say it was one heck of a day too.I met up with them at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel.I have to say I was nicely surprised as I think the last time I was actually in there was before they did their renovation.I just remember that it used to have all this old red carpet and I can’t remember all the details but I have this feeling of it being dark and kind of stodgy.Well that is not the case anymore as it is just spectacular in there and my buddy Steve and I were saying we could shoot in there for days. By the way, thanks Steve for the great assist.

So obviously the day started at a high level and never came down.I just loved this wedding because they had great venues, Ama had this killer dress and was just classically gorgeous, and the whole event was elegant and classic; yet their wedding was also modern.Plus Ama & Andrew are such a fun couple that it was way too much fun.

Here is a slideshow from some of their images.
