Karen & Alden | San Francisco Wedding Photographer
I first met Karen & Alden face to face when I went down to Orange County earlier in 2010 to shoot their Engagement Session. As I mentioned in an earlier post, they totally made me comfortable and were great hosts. So I was very much looking forward to being part of their wedding day. Karen and Alden met through a co-worker of Karen’s who was friends with Alden. They shared that much of their first contact by e-mail and phone. They started to build a connection and then it dawned on them that they had not even met in person. I think that is pretty cool!
Well their wedding was no disappointment as it was one classy and exciting event, filled with fun little details. As you can see Karen was gorgeous and Alden had his best special agent thing going on. Congratulations, and I wish them all the best in their marriage.

You captured their expressions and the settings so well. I also like your color palette; I think it successfully captured the mood of the subjects as well as the atmosphere of the event. The fourth picture from the bottom is really interesting. Was the entire floorspace made of glass?!
@Southeast_Beauty - Thanks for the compliments. My goal is to shoot and make things modern and current with an edge towards a fashion style but still be able to capture classic emotions and poses so that they can still be appreciated and beautiful years from now as well. For that one picture there is actually a fountain that drops water from way up in the atrium down to a pool on the floor. The fountain was off so the reflection is off the still water in the pool. To take that shoot my camera was literally on the floor to get low enough for that particular angle. Hope you are having a good one.
Her dress is amazing! And I love that the ring boy is wearing converses in his cute little tux. haha
@twentyse7enn - Yes, her + the dress = Stunning! There was another wedding at the venue and the other photographer was all jealous of me getting to shoot Karen. I know the converses were a nice little touch.
@WmEric - Man, I wonder what it’s like to have photography as your career.
Well done! I’m always intrigued by the processes that occur behind the shots. It’s easy to just look at the finished pictures and say “Ooh ahh” but to hear what the photographer actually has to do to GET a particular shot — I think it makes one appreciate that shot all the more.
@twentyse7enn - Nice eye!
Stunning photographs!!! I like all album and specially the wedding cake. Its looks so beautiful.

@wedding receptions - Thank you for the kind words. I wish I could tell you what the cake tasted like but I was too busy to sneak a taste…the drawbacks of being a wedding photographer.
